THE MAKING OF

A creative and ambitious act of collective imagination, the future world of GALWAD has been created through a world-building process initially led by Alex McDowell (Minority Report) with 120 people across Wales, with the story brought to life by over 400 designers, writers, musicians, film-makers, technologists and artists in Wales.

Advised by climate scientists and community organisations, the story was developed to explore a world impacted by climate change and transformed by the social changes that result. Its innovation lies in the combination of two very different forms of production – film-making and live performance and bringing those together via new forms of distribution across social media to create a story in real-time.
